Kellan cooked for a friend’s dinner party and the food was beyond incredible. He is a charming and engaging guy who truly enjoys creating an amazing culinary experience for everyone in attendance. I only wish I could give him more than 5 stars. Highly recommend.
I got married at city hall and had Kellan come in and cook for my small dinner reception. Not only was he easy to talk to, but he created a menu that was perfect for what I wanted – elevated comfort food that felt San Franciscan but would also please everyone in my party. It was soooo delicious. And leftovers were pretty good the next day too! The only complaint I’d have would be that there were not enough crab meatballs. I mean, you can never have enough of those, right?!
As a Luxury Real Estate company we get a lot of personal chefs coming through cooking for our staff in hopes of being added to our selective referral list. Not only did Kellan win us over with his tasty fresh food, he earned a top spot! I think that we are all still craving the San Francisco Crab Bisque!
With 12 years in the kitchen for his own small catering company and many extraordinary events, Kellan has become more than a chef, he’s cooking up experiences. From small intimate dinner parties, cooking lessons, and family meals to large corporate bar-b-ques, beer dinners, and holiday soirées, his Kitchen has it covered. Kellan and crew are not just cooks and servers, they’re hosts, cocktail gurus, and burgeoning sommeliers. With a focus always on the food, Kellan’s Kitchen also pays great attention to hosting, vibe, comfort and the vision of the host. Everyone must walk out with a smile and full belly.
In addition to the catering side of the business, Kellan’s Kitchen has become a major resource and asset for professional recipe development. Major brands such as Blue Moon Brewing Company, Redd’s Apple Ale, and Fairlife Milk have all come to Kellan for his expertise in crafting recipes for public consumption.
Kellan’s approach to food is naturally influenced by his native California background, world travels, and Japanese heritage. His palate is bright, fresh, tasty and (as one diner said) “makes you want to go back for seconds and thirds.” Kellan prides himself on his skill with meats and weighty proteins and he completes the plate with delicious salads, and approachable adventurous flavor combinations. He will never shy away from bacon.
Chef Kellan appeared on the First Season of Food Network’s show Cutthroat Kitchen hosted by Alton Brown in October. Through a mountain of adversity and challenges he came out on top as Champion.
