Don Pilar Tequila is an up and coming spirit that is sure to win over many with its incredibly smooth taste. A local business here in San Francisco, Don Pilar has now partnered with Kellan’s Kitchen for its food and recipe needs. There were many discussions on how to use the tequila in new and unique dishes. Talks of using non-traditional ingredients associated with tequila, such as hazelnuts and lavender were mentioned in dishes like risotto, and spins on cioppino and carnitas. In this exciting time for food and alcohol, this will be a playground to explore new tastes, ideas, and pairings that move away from the fish taco… although we aren’t ruling it out! To say excitement is brewing is a huge understatement.
Don Pilar is making its way known through the area in a hurry. You can already find it at bars such as Tres Agaves, unique cocktails at Zero-Zero, and at familiar places like The Jug Shop and Costco.
