Chinese Spiced Pork Chops

Method


Combine Chinese 5 spice, Chili paste, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and sugar in a bowl and mix well. Set aside. Pull out pork chops and bring to room temp. Combine flour and cornstarch on a plate. Dredge Pork Chops in corn starch and flour. Place into hot skillet with vegetable oil. Cook each side until golden brown (about 2-3 minutes a side. Add in wet mixture and sauté and coat each chop. Cook until mixture has coated each chop to a glaze. Remove from pan and let rest for 2 min. Serve with cooked white rice and grilled bok choy.

Grilled Bok Choy: Cut bok choy in half and brush with oil. Place face down on hot grill pan or bbq. Cook for about 2-3 minutes, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes. Remove and serve with pork chop.
